Privacy Policy
We keep this website simple and collect as little personal information as possible. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how visitors use public pages, using aggregated, privacy-focused statistics.
Information you send us
If you use the contact form, we collect your first and last name, email address and message. Your inquiry is saved in a secure website database, and an email notification is sent to approved Lily Pad Cruisers volunteers who manage the website. Those volunteers use your information to respond to you or handle club-related business. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
You can optionally submit up to three photos with a contact message. Photos are stored in private file storage, and approved volunteers receive temporary download links in their email notification. Photos are not added to the public gallery automatically. Files may contain camera metadata. Please only send photos you have permission to share; the club will review photos before publishing them.
If you RSVP to an event, we receive your name, email address, the number of people attending and any answers you give to that event's questions. We email you a confirmation of your RSVP. Club volunteers use this information only to organize that event, and RSVPs are not shown publicly.
Website services
The website uses third-party services for hosting, a protected database and private file storage, and email delivery. These services support website content, event RSVPs, contact messages, private photo submissions, RSVP confirmations and notifications to approved volunteers. Service providers may process limited technical information, such as IP addresses, browser information and server logs, as needed to operate and secure the website.
Cookies and tracking
We use Vercel Web Analytics to measure views of public pages such as our homepage and event pages. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies, and its aggregated reports are not associated with individual visitors or their IP addresses. Reports may include page paths, referrers, approximate region, browser and device details. We filter out URL query parameters, fragments and non-public routes, including admin and contact-confirmation pages. We do not send submitted contact details, RSVP answers, photo uploads or other form content as analytics events. The service is provided by Vercel and may process analytics requests outside Canada. See Vercel Web Analytics privacy details. Because this service does not use analytics cookies, we do not display an analytics cookie-consent popup. Other essential website services may still use browser storage as needed for their operation.
How long we keep information
Messages, contact details and submitted photos are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond to inquiries, review shared photos, maintain club records or handle related club activities. You may request removal using the contact form.
Photos and event information
The website may display photos and information from Lily Pad Cruisers events and club activities. If you have a concern about a photo or other information shown on the site, contact the club and we will review it.
Links to other websites
This site may link to third-party websites, including social media pages. Those websites have their own privacy practices and policies.
